The world’s leading Italian luxury sports car brand Ferrari launches its experiential pop-up store in Shanghai to host the Asia Premiere of the F8 Tributo, the new mid-rear-engined sports car representing the highest expression of the classic two-seater Berlinetta of the Cavallino Rampante.As an all-new concept in Ferrari history and following a whirlwind of successes in Beijing, Ningbo and Sanya last year, the latest Ferrari pop-up store arrives at the high-fashion city landmark - Plaza 66 in Shanghai, from April 14th to 20th to showcase the new F8 Tributo, which was revealed at the Geneva Motor Show in early March. This Asia debut is a testament to the confidence of Ferrari in the Chinese market and long-standing commitment to providing Ferrari owners and fans in China with the most thrilling driving experiences.
There are two innovations proposed for the 2020 Ferrari Challenge Asia Pacific calendar, with respect to this season which will have its epilogue at Mugello this forthcoming 24-27 October. The first concerns the opening round, which instead of the traditional Melbourne venue, will be hosted by the Bahrain circuit, where, from the 5-7 May, the 488 Challenge teams start the competition which will determine the Trofeo Pirelli Am, Coppa Shell and Coppa Shell Am standings. From the desert dunes the show moves on to the slopes of Mount Fuji, Japan, with the challenge scheduled from 24-26 April, at the first location in the Land of the Rising Sun ever to have hosted the world of Formula 1.The traditional Prancing Horse celebration, Ferrari Racing Days, as usual scheduled in Shanghai, will take place from 5-7 June, which will be followed a month later by the night race in Sepang, Malaysia from 3-5 July. After the summer break, it will be back to the Nipponese island for the second novelty of the calendar with the spectacular Suzuka track hosting the single-marque Ferrari series from 21-23 August. The race to be held on the Singapore street circuit, from 18-20 September, coinciding with the Formula 1 Grand Prix, will be the final Asian stage of the series before the deciding round set to take place at the Finali Mondiali weekend.
The second round of the Ferrari Challenge APAC series at Sepang International Circuit came to a close under very hot and sunny conditions with track temperatures at a high of 45.5 degree Celsius. The 20 drivers in the field once again showcased great driving skills during an eventful Race 2.
Race 1 of the Ferrari Challenge Asia Pacific Round 2 took place under the floodlights of the Sepang International Circuit. This is the very first night race for the 21 Ferrari 488 Challenge drivers racing at Sepang, who pitted themselves against the challenging 5.543 kilometre circuit with 15 twisting turns to see who could come up top. The sky opened just before the race started but with the hot conditions on track, the racetrack dried up very quickly and there was no need for wet tires.
The fourth round of the Ferrari Challenge Asia-Pacific played at Fuji offered a second race full of excitement and spectacle that embellished the last day of the Ferrari Racing Days on the Japanese track. On a beautiful sunny day, 34 riders battled in the three classes with the successes that went to Renaldi Hutasoit in the Pirelli Trophy, and again to Tani Hanna and David Dicker in the Shell Cup and Shell Am Cup.
