Violence Erupts Between Opposition Protestors, Police in Guinea

Description

Witnesses say violent clashes have erupted for a second day in Guinea's capital between security forces and opposition party protesters. The renewed violence Tuesday came a day after one young man died from a gunshot wound blamed on police. Diallo Hamza said he and others tried to bring Souleymane Bah to the hospital but he died before he could be treated. National police spokesman Aboubacar Kasse said authorities had arrested 16 people in connection with Monday's unrest, and he said four police officers also had been wounded.
