The pandemic has changed how retailers operate on Black Friday. According to CNN Business, over 50% of customers feel anxious about being in brick and mortar location during the holiday. They anticipate doing 64% of their shopping online. Experts say that amping up online shopping could signal a more permanent shift in how Black Friday sales are done in the future. This includes: -Duration: Black Friday deals usually start the day after Thanksgiving in-stores. Now they start online in October. -More ways to pickup: Curbside pickup is booming in 2020, and it's estimated that it will increase during the holiday shopping season. -More free shipping: With online shopping becoming the norm, free shipping is becoming standard.
Black Friday begins November 27. Mega-retailer Macy's starts rolling out its deals ahead of time, on November 24. Some deals begin the week before Thanksgiving, on November 16. Business Insider reports that shoppers can use a code BLKFRI to get an extra 20% off some items. Macy's hopes its deals on clothing, jewelry, cosmetics, kitchenware, and home goods will boost it's business, which has been ravaged by COVID-19.
Black Friday is coming November 27. Business Insider reports that Best Buy is one of the major retailers to keep an eye on for deals. Best Buy's Black Friday 2020 sale features a Black Friday price guarantee to help shopper save all season long. It's a perk limited to My Best Buy members. Year after year, Best Buy provides significant price drops on everything. There will be deals on the latest TVs, speakers, headphones, laptops, gaming gear, and more.
