A huge Google research project you will soon let you securely access apps on your Android phone without a password Project Abacus will use the phone’s sensors to gather data about the user, such as typing patterns, walking pace, location, and face The technology will calculate a “trust score” based on the data, determining its confidence at all times that you are the correct user of the device If you previously authorized your phone to access your account in an app you’ll be able to use that app without a password as long as your trust score matches when you log in
