Jerusalem, Apr 23 (EFE / EPA) .- (Camera: Atef Safadi) Hundreds of Muslims have attended the prayer on the second Friday of Ramadan at the Al Aqsa mosque, in the old city of Jerusalem. Muslims around the world celebrate the holy month of Ramadan by praying at night and refraining from eating, drinking, and engaging in sexual acts during the period between sunrise and sunset. Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar and the revelation of the first verse of the Quran is believed to have been during its last 10 nights.FOOTAGE OF AL AQSA MOSQUE IN THE OLD CITY OF JERUSALEM.
