Are 2016's Top Movies Passing The Bechdel Test?

The Bechdel Test is a measure of sexisim in narratives, and is one of the easiest to pass. There are only three requirements, and all are basically the minimum for establishing humanity in female characters. A story will pass the test if it answers these three questions: 1. Are there more than two named female characters? 2. Do those two characters have a conversation at any point? And, 3. Is that conversation about anything other than a man? The Test doesn’t include whether or not women are portrayed negatively or is sexist. Yet, 32% of 2016’s biggest films failed the test. Deadpool, The Jungle Book, and Now You See Me 2 all failed.
