A pair of pink, fluffy Samoyed dogs were dyed pink by their previous abusive owner before being abandoned to the streets. Their story may have ended up like thousands of other abandoned pups, but, ironically, their pink color immediately caught the attention of animal rights activists in Moscow. Despite the abuse they suffered at the hands of their cruel previous owners, these pups appear to be loving life to the max, grinning from ear to ear as they play in the yard of their new owner, a woman named Margarita.

Dubbed 'Paws Across the Pacific,' the chartered Hercules C-130 plane collected dogs and cats from overcrowded shelters on Kauai, Oahu, and Maui.
