If don't want to charge your Apple Watch every night, a new company called Vector has a smartwatch that wants to liberate you from the charging cable. It isn't going to liberate you from checking your phone like the Apple Watch (theoretically) will, but it splits the difference between that and a traditional watch. Vector seems to be trying to win over the hearts of those who already wear traditional watches, rather than the tech-obsessed users of the Apple Watch and other Android Wear devices.

Senegalese opposition leader Ousmane Sonko makes his first public appearance in months, greeting and waving at hundreds of supporters in the capital Dakar, a day after his release from prison.
