New York's Central Park transformed into a virtual playing field, Sunday, after hundreds of Pokemon fans gathered there to play the Pokemon Go mobile game. The game has garnered massive public attention since its launch earlier this month, with millions of players and downloads, sparking a cultural phenomenon. The game is free to play and operates on the basis of a player's location, determining which of the Pokemon creatures will appear and whether they can capture it.
One Pokemon Go enthusiast smashed into a police car as he was looking down at his mobile phone and and trying to catch Pokemon while driving. Footage captured on an officer's bodycam released by the Baltimore Police Department shows the moment when the young driver collided with a parked police cruiser. Luckily, all three officers were outside of the car at that time and were not injured in the crash.
