A new high-performance supercar from BRABUS in a class of its own takes the stage: BRABUS now also offers an exclusive refinement range for the Porsche 911 Turbo S of the current 992 series. The power unit engineers of the world’s largest independent automotive refinement specialist developed two BRABUS performance upgrades and a high-performance exhaust system made from ultralight INCONEL for the turbocharged flat-six engine. In the top-of-the-range BRABUS PowerXtra P38S-820 variant, the engine puts out 603 kW / 820 hp (809 bhp) and produces a peak torque of 950 Nm (701 lb-ft) at a low 4,000 rpm. It cuts the sports car’s sprint time from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) to a mere 2.5 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 340 km/h (211 mph).Visually, BRABUS refines the current 911 Turbo Coupe or Convertible with a newly developed exposed-carbon aerodynamics upgrade and BRABUS Monoblock Z “PLATINUM EDITION” hi-tech forged wheels in a staggered combination of wheels with diameters of 21 and 22 inches. The suspension delivers even more agile handling thanks to height-adjustable BRABUS sport springs. An exclusive BRABUS MASTERPIECE interior adds the finishing touch to any 911 model.
Born on the racetrack. Built for the road. The Audi R8 Coupe sets standards: with a power output of 540 hp, a top speed of 320 km/h and an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds, the top variant, i.e. the Audi R8 V10 plus, delivers stunning performance, which is further underlined by its even more honed design. There is no doubt that the Audi R8 Coupe has motorsport in its genes.
Audi R8 Coupe V10 RWS is certainly the most purist-oriented second-generation R8. Planned for a run of just 999 units, it packs 540 horsepower. That power—which matches that of the base R8 V10 Quattro but is shy of the 610 horsepower of the R8 V10 Plus—is churned out by the awesome, naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V-10. No all-wheel drive means both less weight and less mechanical drag in the powertrain. Compared with the regular all-wheel-drive R8, its curb weight is down by 110 pounds to 3505 pounds, according to Audi, while the company’s claimed weight for the Spyder version is 3704 pounds, down 88 from the Quattro model. Visually, the R8 RWS is signified by a matte-black grille, matte-black front and rear airflow openings, and a gloss-black upper side blade on the coupe. A red vinyl trim stripe that stretches from the front left to the right rear is optional on the coupe. Sport seats are standard, as are black 19-inch wheels wrapped in 35-series rubber. Audi says the sprint to 62 mph takes 3.7 seconds (3.8 in the Spyder), and top speed is claimed to be 199 mph on the coupe and 198 mph on the Spyder. That acceleration time lags behind Audi’s claims for the Quattro-equipped R8 by 0.2 second in both cases; top speed is unchanged.
