Legendary Louisiana Accordionist Buckwheat Zydeco Dead At 68

Description

On Saturday, Stanley Dural, Jr., better known by his stage name of Buckwheat Zydeco, died at the age of 68. Dural Jr. was an American accordionist and one of the first zydeco artists to achieve mainstream success. Ted Fox, his longtime manager, posted a message on the musician's website which read "His music captured the food, music, language and dancing -- the way of life for people in the region.
