Among the 63 contenders, the finest automobiles in each category emerged victorious in the initial voting round. After careful analysis and thorough examination, the verdict overwhelmingly favors the Kia EV9 as the leading choice in the realm of electric SUVs. Boasting an impressive seven-seat capacity, it is the first of its kind in this segment. Despite its considerable length of 5 meters, the vehicle excels in aerodynamics, contributing to its exceptional performance. Notably, the Kia EV9 showcases a cutting-edge design, incorporating advanced technology and offering both bidirectional charging and ultra-fast charging capabilities.

The MX-5, a timeless masterpiece – refined by Mazda’s craftsmen over four generations of customer feedback – celebrates its 35th birthday in 2024. With over 1.1 million units sold, the community of MX-5 enthusiasts continues to grow.With the 2024 MX-51 Mazda further reinforces the Jinba Ittai ethos by introducing DSC-Track, a new Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) mode optimised for circuit driving, and a newly developed Asymmetric Limited Slip Differential (Asymmetric LSD).DSC-Track prioritises driver safety by implementing over-steer control in hazardous spins that the driver is unable to correct. DSC-Track allows the driver to remain in control until the very last second, only then it will intervene. The Asymmetric Limited Slip Differential (Asymmetric LSD) stabilises vehicle turn-in behaviour. In particular, bolstering the slip-limiting force during deceleration improves stability when braking into a turn, where reduced rear wheel ground load leads to vehicle instability. Optimizing slip limiting force and preload specifically for the MX-5's engine, suspension, and tyre characteristics results in smoother and more linear turning performance. Turning stability has thus been enhanced to make manoeuvring easier in urban areas, as well as on winding roads.The 2024 Mazda MX-5 features advanced LED headlights that now seamlessly combine with the daytime running lights. Furthermore, the rear lights have undergone subtle revisions, and LEDs are now used also on the turn signals. The exterior changes are complete with a new paint option, "Aero Grey Metallic", which replaces “Platinum Quartz”, and 16- and 17-inch wheel designs.Enhancements for 2024 also extend to the interior, which gains a redesigned 8.8-inch centre display with Android Auto and Apple Car Play running wirelessly, a frameless rear-mirror and a suede-like seatmaterial called Leganu.
The European Commission proposes a three-year delay on tariffs on electric vehicles that are sold to, or imported from, Britain that was due to apply from January. The commission, the EU's executive arm, says it decided a one-off extension after the automotive industry raised concerns about the massive costs that would arise from a post-Brexit 10-percent tariff. On the eve of the international dynamic debut at the Autodromo Piero Taruffi in Vallelunga, Lamborghini factory driver Andrea Caldarelli tested the new Revuelto, the first super sports V12 hybrid plug-in HPEV (High Performance Electrified Vehicle) on the Roman circuit.Unveiled in the brand’s 60th anniversary year, Revuelto defines a new paradigm in terms of performance, sportiness, and driving pleasure from its unprecedented new architecture, innovative design, maximum-efficiency aerodynamics, a new carbon chassis concept, and a 1015 CV powertrain that combines the new V12 engine with three electric motors.With Lamborghini, Caldarelli has won some of the most prestigious titles in the endurance category, including the triple crown of the GT World Challenge Europe in 2019 and the 24 Hours of Daytona in the GTD category. Caldarelli will also be part of the crew that will contend the 2024 season of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship at the wheel of the new Lamborghini SC63.
The storied Audi R8 took its final laps last week in celebration of its 15 years in the United States and as one of the premier super cars of its time. Since its launch in the U.S. in 2008, the brand halo and pinnacle of performance for Audi achieved iconic status both on and off the track, winning the World Performance Car of the Year in 2008 and in 2016 as well as proving its authenticity on the track by winning every major endurance race around the world. The R8 continues the Audi strategy of proving its race technologies on the track and bringing those technologies to the road. That same strategy will be brought to bear as the brand shifts toward electrified performance with its entry to Formula 1 in 2026.
