Cincinnati Zoo reopened its gorilla enclosure on Tuesday with strengthened security measures.
An animal protection watchdog group claims the Cincinnati Zoo violated federal regulations by not having adequate enclosures and should be held responsible for the death of the zoo's gorilla Harambe. Rough Cut (no reporter narration).
There is much public outcry after Harambe, a silverback gorilla, was shot and killed after a child fell into the gorilla exhibit the Cincinnati Zoo on Saturday. Some claim the gorilla appeared to be protecting the toddler and should not have been killed. However, the zoo maintains that authorities made the right decision, as it was a matter of life and death for the child.
