'Aquaman' Director Discusses Black Manta Rumors

Description

In response to rumors that actor Michael K. Williams will be portraying the villain Black Manta in the upcoming 'Aquaman' movie, director James Wan has jumped on Twitter to deny the news, writing of the rumors, "Nah. Not real." However, when a fan said he should make the casting happen, Wan added, "Agree. He's a terrific actor." Wan’s denial may seem to serve the secrecy around the DC movie. But it will still fuel further speculation that, not only is Black Manta the arch villain in Aquaman, but Michael K. Williams will represent him on screen. Due to the immense pressure of the Hollywood reveal, director credibility has slipped a little recently, at least when it comes to denying rumors about movie casting.
