Conservative attorney L. Lin Wood seemed to suggest on Friday that Georgia's Republican Sens. David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler should be arrested. Wood asserts that the pair engaged in a scheme to perpetuate widespread voter fraud by using a Dominion Voting Systems algorithm. Business Insider reports the staunch Trump ally made the remarks ahead of the state's critical runoff race. In a tweet on Friday, Wood also urged Republicans to 'break' the election in the state by refusing to vote. The fraud will be so obvious, SCOTUS can then invalidate the presidential election. Joe Biden told Stephen Colbert that he's disappointed GOP Sen. Lindsey Graham has not recognized him as the winner of the 2020 election. "Lindsey's been a personal disappointment because I was a personal friend of his," Biden said. Business Insider reports that Graham was once a sharp critic of President Donald Trump. Now, has supports the president's longshot legal efforts to overturn the election results. The South Carolina Republican was previously a close friend of Biden's. In a bid to overturn the presidential election, President Donald Trump has set his legal team upon courtrooms across the country. The team, including former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani, has consistently made claims of widespread voter fraud--without any verifiable evidence. Now, former New Jersey governor and Trump ally Chris Christie says the President's legal team is 'a national embarrassment.' Trump has resisted acknowledging President-elect Joe Biden's win and continues to challenge the election results. His campaign has not won any of the almost two dozen lawsuits filed across several states based on unsubstantiated claims of voter fraud. Biden has called on Congress to act swiftly and approve a new stimulus package to combat the coronavirus pandemic and help millions of financially-struggling Americans before the year ends.
Reuters Sen. Elizabeth Warren called on Joe Biden to cancel a large portion of student debt. She is pushing for it without Congress as well, reports Business Insider. "This is the single most effective executive action available for a massive economic stimulus." Warren on Twitter Warren and Sen. Schumer outlined a plan arguing the president had authority to cancel student debt. This would be done by directing the education secretary to do so. This would relieve Americans of billions of dollars in student debt and aid the US economy.
