Elizabeth Warren Scores Victory In Democratic Platform

Description

Elizabeth Warren has been advocating to keep bankers out of politics for a long time now. Now, the Democrats have added a pledge to the draft party platform that could limit Wall Street's power during a Hillary Clinton presidency. The party has vowed to only appoint officials “who are not beholden to the industries they regulate." The pledge comes after years of Warren and fellow liberal Democrats fighting against President Obama's appointment of financial industry insiders within economic government positions.

  • Why Elizabeth Warren Will Never Be Treasury Secretary

In a humiliating snub heard around the political world Biden chose former FED chair Janet Yellen over Warren as his Treasury Secretary. Chris Cillizza of CNN said there are several reasons Warren will never be America's Treasury Secretary. Warren in the Cabinet would allow Mass. GOP Gov. Charlie Baker to appoint a temporary replacement for her in the Senate. Warren's vision for big structural change doesn't fit Biden's pragmatic approach. Warren would have spooked Wall Street. Warren might not get confirmed by the Senate.
