Box Office Figures Start to Roll in for ‘Blair Witch’

According to box office figures, the horror movie “Blair Witch” notched $765,000 at the Thursday night previews from more than 2,300 movie theatre locations in the United States before its official release on Friday. The sequel to 1999’s “The Blair Witch Project” which was produced for $15 million, is expected to earn about $23 million this weekend and the film's producer, Lionsgate, is estimating a return of anywhere between $15 million to $18 million.
