CBS Hands Series Order to Jermaine Fowler's 'Superior Donuts'


CBS has reportedly handed out a series order for the comedy Superior Donuts, which stars comedian Jermaine Fowler. Superior Donuts, which is based on a play by Tracy Letts, follows the relationship between the owner of a donut shop played by Judd Hirsch, his new young employee who is played by Fowler and their patrons in a Chicago neighborhood. CBS Entertainment president Glenn Geller said in a statement this week, “Jermaine Fowler is a rising young star, Judd Hirsch is a comedy legend and the entire cast is full of great comedic talent. We’re very excited to expand our comedy lineup with Superior Donuts.”
