American Microwave Weapons Could Thwart N. Korean Nukes

Sen. Martin Heinrich of New Mexico began his career as an engineer at the Air Force Research Laboratory in Albuquerque. He asked, "Think about when you put something in your microwave that has metal on it. You know how badly that goes? Imagine directing those microwaves at someone's electronics." According to NBC News, the Armed Services Committee member says the U.S. has microwave weapons that could stop North Korea from launching missiles by frying their electronics.
