Singer and actress, Selena Gomez, cried on Thursday after being given the 2017 Billboard Woman of the Year award. According to Us Weekly, the 25-year-old survived a kidney transplant this summer, due to challenges with lupus. Selena shed tears because she believed that the honor should go to her kidney donor, who saved her life. Her best friend, Francia Raisa, gave Selena her kidney. Selena said, "I feel incredibly lucky.” The Wolves singer added, "I’ve never felt this proud — to be a woman in the industry than I do today and that’s because I actually feel comfortable with every single woman that has encouraged me.”
