Actor and stand-up comedian Dustin Diamond has been hospitalized with cancer. Diamond is best known for playing the role of Samuel 'Screech' Powers on the popular 1990s high school comedy 'Saved by the Bell.' Besides writing a controversial tell-all about his time on the show, Diamond has also faced some legal troubles. According to CNN, he served three months in jail for stabbing a man during a 2014 altercation at a bar in Wisconsin. Diamond's representative says his client's health condition is 'serious,' and that he is undergoing testing to determine the type and severity of the cancer.
Miya Ponsetto, 22, said on CBS This Morning. The interview was conducted Thursday, hours before Ponsetto was arrested in California in connection with the Dec. 26 confrontation with 14-year-old Keyon Harrold Jr., the AP reports. Ponsetto was charged Saturday in New York with attempted robbery, grand larceny, acting in a manner injurious to a child and two counts of attempted assault, city police reported. Actress Tanya Roberts has died. She was best known for her role as a Bond girl in "A View to a Kill" and for her parts in "Charlie's Angels" and "That '70s Show." Her publicist and longtime friend Mike Pingel said her death was not due to COVID-19. "I'm devastated, I've been friends with Tanya for over 20 years." Pingel told CNN. Roberts collapsed on December 24th at her California home following a morning walk with her dogs. Roberts was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
To celebrate Peacock as the new home of "The Office," the streaming service on Friday shared some never-before-seen footage of the beloved sitcom, featuring Jim (John Krasinski) and Pam (Jenna Fischer) pulling off a "Matrix"-inspired prank against Dwight (Rainn Wilson). In the scene, the pair, with help from security guard Hank (the late Hugh Dane), try to convince Dwight he's being given a chance to join an underground army to help free humankind. She recently signed a historic figure in TV and led to a multimillion-dollar Netflix deal. Her first show from that Netflix deal, "Bridgerton," was released on Christmas day. Rhimes is the first Black woman to showrun a successful primetime drama on a broadcast network. She is also one of the highest-paid showrunners in TV.
