The Zoo of Copenhagen has released footage of a baby elephant which was born last week in captivity as part of a European breeding program for Asian elephants. The mother is 16 year old Maha Kumari and the fathers name is Fahim. The name and gender of the baby elephant aren't known yet. Calves weight in beetween 70 and 90kg at birth after spending 22 months in their mothers wombs, the longest gestation in the animal kindom. Panama City, Jul 30 (EFE).- The head of Mission of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Panama, Santiago Paz, applauded this Friday the "important institutional apparatus" of the country to combat the "latent" problem of human trafficking."The problem is still latent. The US Department of Agriculture and the Department of Health and Human Services released new dietary guidelines on Tuesday. The guidelines are updated every five years and govern what's served in federal nutrition programs. UPI reports the Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee recommend that Americans reduce salt and saturated fat levels in their diet. What's more, the panel suggested the government revise its definition of 'moderate drinking' for me from two drinks per day down to one. As for sugar consumption, the panel continues to advise people to not consume more than 10 percent of their calories from added sugars.
