Canadian Halfpipe Champ Cassie Sharpe Hails ‘Awesome Feeling’ After Gold


Canadian skier Cassie Sharpe took home gold for ski halfpipe. On her second run, the 25-year-old from Vancouver and championship favorite racked up the highest score ever in Olympic history for back to back cork 900s followed by a cork 1080. Cassie led the podium while France's Marie Martinod took silver and American Brita Sigourney took bronze.
