    Are dating apps damaging to our health? Maybe. A new study done by the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health links dating apps to body image. According to Business Insider, a survey of over 1,700 people found that men and women using dating apps had up to 26 and 14 times the chance of having unhealthy eating habits, compared to non-users. Business Insider explains, "Fasting, vomiting, and using laxatives were the most common behaviors among men and women.

  • Youth Suicide Attempts Doubled In Past Decade

    ER visits for children who had thoughts of suicide or had attempted suicide have doubled in the past decade. This is according to a nationally representative study released Monday, April 8, 2019. From 2007 to 2015 annual visits for suicidal thoughts and suicide attempts among children age 5 to 18 nearly doubled. Approximately 43% of visits for suicidal thoughts or attempts were among children between the ages of 5 and 12, says HuffPost. The study's lead author, Dr. Brett Burstein, said, “This trend is likely accelerating."
