A Abou Simbel, le soleil a rendez-vous avec Ramsès II

Deux fois par an, le 22 février et le 22 octobre, le soleil s'aligne avec l'entrée du temple égyptien d'Abou Simbel et vient caresser le visage de Ramsès II, tout au fond de l'édifice. Un phénomène redécouvert en 1874. Près d'un siècle plus tard, en raison de la construction du barrage d'Assouan, le temple avait dû être déplacé. Se trouvant plus bas, l'évènement avait lieu les 21 février et 21 octobre. Décalé d'une journée, le spectacle reste un rendez-vous exceptionnel auquel de nombreux touristes viennent assister.
