King Abdullah II of Jordan receives Emmanuel Macron in Amman during a whistlestop crisis tour by the French President. Later in the day, Macron is to hold talks in Cairo with Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, the president's office said. Egypt has been one of the main brokers in efforts to secure the release of more than 200 hostages held by Hamas in Gaza.
