The Palestinian envoy to the United Nations Riyad Mansour calls Washington's veto of a Security Council push for a ceasefire "absolutely reckless and dangerous." "It is not Israel that should be protected by the veto. It is Palestinian children, women and men, who must be protected by this Council acting now," Mansour says in a statement to the Security Council. SOUNDBITE
Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu slams the South Africa genocide case as "outrageous" after UN court Gaza ruling. The UN top court said Israel must prevent genocidal acts in Gaza and facilitate "urgently needed" humanitarian aid into the besieged territory, handing down rulings in a case that has drawn global attention. The Palestinian representative to the UN calls the Security Council resolution demanding more aid deliveries to Gaza "a step in the right direction," but reiterates calls for an immediate ceasefire. SOUNDBITE
More than two dozen Palestinian cancer patients, who have crossed from Gaza into Egypt, arrive in Turkey for treatment in the early hours of Thursday. Two planes carrying the patients, many of them children, landed at Ankara airport shortly after 00:30 am local time (2130 GMT). IMAGES
