Chinese smartphone company Vivo unveiled a new mobile phone model which can accurately scan fingerprints when fingers are placed on the touchscreen. For the first time ever, smartphone fingerprint scanners are located underneath the touchscreen display on not on a separate sensor elsewhere on the phone. Vivo became the first company to offer this new tech after they unveiled their Xplay6 at the 2017 Mobile World Congress in Shanghai on Wednesday.

Lionel Messi helped unveil the official ball of the 2018 World Cup in Russia - the Adidas Telstar 18 - during a FIFA ceremony in Moscow on Thursday. Football legends and stars, such as Lionel Messi, Zinedine Zidane, Kaka, Alessandro Del Piero and Xabi Alonso attended the event to unveil the ball, which was designed by German sports company Adidas. The 2018 FIFA World Cup it is scheduled to take place in Russia from 14 June to 15 July, 2018. A total of 64 matches will be played in 12 venues located in 11 cities across Russia, with the final being scheduled to take place in the totally redesigned Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow.
