Bill on School Violence to be Debated in US Capitol

Description

According to Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy Tuesday, the U.S. House of Representatives will debate bipartisan legislation next week aimed at preventing violence in schools. McCarthy, the second most-powerful Republican in the House, did not outline any legislation the chamber might consider that are currently urged by gun control groups.

Limbaugh is one of a handful of high-profile Trump supporters who closed or lost their Twitter accounts following the Capitol Hill insurrection. Twitter has also suspended the accounts of Trump's former national security advisor Michael Flynn, pro-Trump lawyer Sidney Powell, and Ron Watkins. Business Insider reports Limbaugh has praised the rioters as being in the same class as Revolutionary War heroes Thomas Paine and Samuel Adams.

According to reports at Business Insider, the closings will start Thursday. NYC public schools will transition to remote learning because of a surge in COVID-19 cases. The surge pushed the 7-day positivity rate above the 3% threshold. Zoom has been a prime beneficiary of the COVID-19 related lockdowns.
