Canada, Mexico Respond to Trump's Request for New NAFTA Deal

Description

On Monday, Canada and Mexico pushed back against Donald Trump’s suggestion that steel and aluminum tariffs could be waived if they signed a new and“fair” NAFTA deal. Both countries have threatened retaliation unless they are exempted from Trump's planned tariffs, which have in turn rattled financial markets. According to figures, Canada and Mexico send more than 75 percent of their goods exports to the United States.
