SEAT consolidated its commitment to urban mobility and its contribution to designing the most sustainable cities of the future with the creation of SEAT MÓ in 2020. With this new business unit, the brand aims to respond to the new mobility needs of cities, with 100% electric, noise-free, accessible and affordable products and services. It also offers mobility solutions for young people, with new proposals designed exclusively for them.SEAT MÓ started the year with a new flexible subscription model for the new electric motorbike, the SEAT MÓ eScooter 125, for 70 euros a week or 150 euros a month. The subscription includes full comprehensive insurance from the age of 18, roadside assistance, 24-hour customer service and the possibility of using the vehicle for the whole family for the same weekly or monthly fee.
The last model with a combustion engine left the assembly line today at the Zwickau car factory. The seventh generation Golf R Estate with 2.0-litre petrol engine in Oryx White Pearl Effect was produced for a customer in Germany. From today on, only electric models of Volkswagen and in future also of the sister brands Audi and Seat will be produced in Zwickau. The leap into the modern automobile age has been a long one: since 1904, cars with combustion engines have been built in Zwickau - initially for many years, including Horch models, and in GDR times the Trabant came off the assembly line here. In May 1990, Volkswagen started production at its plant in western Saxony. Over the course of the past 30 years, exactly 6,049,207 Volkswagen cars of the models Polo, Golf, Golf Estate, Passat Saloon and Passat Variant have been produced in Zwickau.
You may have heard of 3D printers before, but this 3D printing machine is a bit different. It's designed to print metal parts in space on board the International Space Station. The new 3D printer prototype, which was created for the purpose of printing large metal items in outer space, was presented in Tomsk on Wednesday at the young scientists’ forum U-NOVUS-2017.

Jordan, Rose Byrne and Brie Larson were all inducted into the new 683 strong class of artist given invites to become members of The Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences. Among the invites, 41% were people of color and 46% were female which will make for a much more interesting 2017 Oscars. It was a long time in coming but we applaud the Academy for their bold move that fully embraces everyone.
