An Unexpected Pokemon Has Joined Pokemon Go's Halloween Event

A rare but decidedly un-scary Pokemon has decided to get in on Pokemon Go's Halloween action. Players have figured out that Pokemon Go divides the world into "biomes," certain geographical areas that spawn different type of Pokemon. Pokemon Go developers seemed to tinker with the water biome settings over the weekend in order to get the Halloween Pokemon to start spawning everywhere. And while Halloween Pokemon started to spawn at the same rate as they did everywhere else in the world, players living in certain areas got an extra treat when Corsola also started to appear in mass quantities.

Pokémon Planes Are Flying Over Japan

Pokémon-themed airplanes are appearing in the skies over Japan. Solaseed Airlines, based on the Japanese island of Kyushu, debuted a Pokémon-painted plane on December 19. According to CNN, the new themed craft made its maiden flight from Miyazaki City to Tokyo's Haneda airport. The plane is part of a collaboration between The Pokémon Company and various regions of Japan. There are currently eight prefectures involved in the collaboration between POkemon and the tourism board. Each prefecture is assigned a dedicated Pokémon character of its own.
