April 15, 1923 is a special date in the history of Alfa Romeo. On this day, the Quadrifoglio symbol adorned the works racing cars of the traditional Italian brand for the first time. And the green, four-leaf clover on a white background brought good luck right away: Ugo Sivocci won the Targa Florio road race on the Mediterranean island of Sicily in an Alfa Romeo RLS ahead of teammate Antonio Ascari.Just in time for the 100th anniversary of this memorable event, Alfa Romeo presents the new Quadrifoglio versions of the Giulia and Stelvio models. The first are the exclusive anniversary models Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio 100° Anniversario and Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio 100° Anniversario. Both are limited to 100 copies each. Orders start in a few weeks.
All-new 2020 Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio are on their way to the market. heir turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-fours, eight-speed automatic transmissions, and rear- and all-wheel-drive drivetrains all are unchanged for 2020. Both vehicles come with the same sharp handling, crisply communicative steering, confidence inspiring brakes, and rorty exhaust notes as their 2019 versions. The significant improvements for the Giulia and Stelvio reside inside their cabins and address several issues that have plagued both vehicles since their launches in 2017 and 2018, respectively. A new 8.8-inch infotainment touchscreen replaces both the 6.5- and 8.8-inch non-touch displays offered in last year's model. Despite the addition of the touch-sensitive panel, however, the redundant clickwheel on the center console has been retained. A new software interface designed by Marelli boasts an upscale appearance and can be customized to the driver's preferences. Functions such as radio settings, climate control, performance metrics, and the optional navigation system live on individual tiles that can be dragged and dropped in whatever order is preferred, similar to rearranging apps on an iPhone. Graphics and illustrations throughout the system are rendered more crisply than before, but several onscreen buttons are too small to easily operate while driving.

An Alfa Romeo springs from the perfect balance of heritage, speed and beauty which makes it the highest expression of Italian style in the automotive world. The new Giulia is no exception because it encapsulates three particularities of Italian design: sense of proportions, simplicity and care for surface quality. This is the 'skin' that Alfa Romeo stylists have modelled with painstaking care on the mechanical parts. In particular, the proportions are based on the technical architecture of the entire car: for Alfa Romeo the key elements were the 50/50 weight balance and rear wheel drive. In order to balance the weights perfectly, the engine and the mechanical parts are arranged between the two axles. This is why the Giulia has very short overhangs, a long bonnet and front wings, a retracted passenger compartment 'settled' on the drive wheels and muscular rear wings which visually mark the point where power is unleashed onto the road. All this translates into a very generous wheelbase - the longest in its category - but contained in one of the most compact bodies. These proportions draw the dynamic shape of an ellipsis in plan view. Furthermore, the rounded angles and the enveloping pillars convey momentum to the car creating a 'teardrop-shaped' profile which is reminiscent of the Giulietta Sprint, one of the most beautiful cars ever made.
