CDC Scandal Puts Anti-Corruption Ball In Trump's Court

Description

During his State of the Union speech, Trump promised to rid the government of employees who undermine the trust of the American people. The president may now be in the perfect position to make good on that promise. Dr. Brenda Fitzgerald resigned as the head of the CDC.less than 24 hours after the address after Politico reported that she made investments that violated her ethics agreement. Fitzgerald bought shares in tobacco companies just one month into her tenure. this reflects poorly on the Trump, who claims that he hires only "the best people." Going forward, some are calling for Trump to make good on his promise and investigate other possible corruption issues in his administration.
