Disney Being Sued by Singer Who Claims 'Let It Go' Ripped off His Song

A singer named Jaime Ciero is suing Demi Lovato, Idina Menzel and the Walt Disney Company, claiming that the hit song “Let It Go” from the film Frozen was inspired his 2008 international hit “Volar”. Volar which is recorded in spanish does have similarities to the Disney song in hooks, melodies, themes and more but it’s unsure if the similarities are enough to make a case. If Ciero won the case he could gain an enormous sum from even just a portion of the profits of the hugely successful movie.
