Washington Takes Aim At California's Marijuana And Immigration Policies

This week, amid bubbling disagreements between President Donald Trumps administration and California over marijuana, climate change, offshore drilling and immigration, all seemed to boil over all at once. Just four days after California, the nation's largest and most important state economically, officially legalized marijuana for recreational use, the Trump administration undid an Obama-era legal guideline that gave states the leeway to legalize marijuana. While on immigration, the acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Thomas Homan, claimed on Fox Business Network that "California better hold on tight" after the state enacted a new law to protect undocumented immigrants from federal authorities. Homan said, "There's no sanctuary from federal law enforcement."
