U.N., Inspectors Conclude Assad Regime Was Behind Sarin Gas Attack

Description

The sarin gas attack in Syria earlier this year was carried out by the Assad regime. That's according to a joint report from the U.N. and international chemical weapons inspectors. According to CNN, the attack was on the rebel-held town of Khan Sheikhoun in April. More than 80 were killed. In response, US President Donald Trump ordered the US military to launch 59 Tomahawk cruise missiles at a Syrian airbase. Syria has repeatedly denied it had anything to do with the attack, and denies it has any chemical weapons.
