In the olden days, high schoolers were taught to type by copying sentences like 'the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.' Now, Gizmodo reports there's a new app that teaches typing by asking you to copy great literature. Adam Doquiatan's site, called TypeLit.io, lets you pick from a library of public domain classics. It then shows you the text of each chapter. Doquiatan explains he's merely shared the method he used to learn to type. Perhaps trying to recapture some lost cool, hipsters are picking up on the craze, retyping classics in smoky diners. The site saw about 600 users per day before public interest drove it to 19,000 per day. The founders are just me—a Canadian web developer who’s relatively new to the scene. Seagram's heiress Clare Bronfman is heading to prison for her role in an abusive cult that turned women into sex slaves. Newser reports a judge sentenced Clare Bronfman to 81 months in prison and fined her $500,000 on Wednesday, on charges of racketeering and conspiracy. Bronfman brought young women into the US for the Nxivm cult and used part of her $210 million fortune to silence the group's enemies with legal action. Bronfman still publicly supports cult leader Keith Raniere, who was found guilty last year of charges including sex-trafficking and racketeering. I have made mistakes, I'm sorry for the time and resources I have taken from the court. Clare Bronfman
