Amy Adams To Join Mark Ruffalo & Kumail Nanjiani In Post-9/11 Movie

Five-time Oscar nominee Amy Adams may be joining Kumail Nanjiani and Mark Ruffalo in the post-9/11 drama "The True American." The movie, based on the non-fiction book by Anand Giridharadas, tells the true story of a Bangladeshi immigrant working in a Texas convenience store who is nearly killed in an attack perpetrated by white supremacist Mark Stroman. Nanjiani is in talks to play Bhuiyan, while Mark Ruffalo may play Stroman. Specifics of Adams’ role have not been reported.
