‘Pacific Rim: Uprising’ Takes Lead At Box Office

“Black Panther” will finally cede its top box office spot this weekend, as Universal and Legendary Picture's film “Pacific Rim: Uprising” takes the lead. The film took in and estimated 25.3 million dollars from more than 37 hundred screens this week. With a production budget of 150 million dollars, that is not going to be enough for the sequel to Guillermo del Toro’s 2013 robot vs. monster flick. “Pacific Rim: Uprising” has had a mixed critical reception so far, holding a 59 percent Rotten Tomatoes score.
