Beijing/Shanghai, Jul 29 (EFE/EPA).- China's economy will grow 1.6 percent this year but will expand 7.9 percent next year, according to projections in the latest World Bank report, published Wednesday.Although the forecast for 2020 will be the smallest growth since 197, growing 7.9 percent in 2021 would signify the fastest pace since 2012, taking into account that the GDP growth rate is measured in year-on-year terms and that in 2011 it had been 9.6 percent. Chinese smartphone maker Vivo presented the official FIFA 2018 World Cup smartphone in Moscow on Thursday. The new Vivo V7 and V7+ phones will be available for purchase starting December 16th. Both phones will offer a 24 MP front camera and a 16 MP rear camera, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor and 4 GB of RAM, but the V7+ will have 64 GB of internal memory while the V7 will only have 32. The V7+ will cost about $420 while the V7 will retail for about $370.
This 30,000 square-foot building is Shanghai's new Starbucks Reserve Roastery, the largest Starbucks in the world. Seattle-based Starbucks opened the doors to its biggest ever shop in Shanghai on Wednesday, which features three brew bars, augmented reality tech, lavish design, and coffee, lots of coffee. The spacious 'reserve roastery,' which can serve up to 7,000 customers a day and up to 1,000 people at one time, is the second of its type in the world, after Starbucks opened its first version in Seattle in 2014.
China switched on the world's largest floating solar farm, located a small distance from the city of Huainan in the eastern Anhui province, in May. Local authorities decided to implement the project after a coal mining operation flooded, leading to questions about how best to use the site. The floating solar farm itself was built by Chinese manufacturer Sungrow Power Supply, at its full capacity of 40 megawatts, the plant can provide electricity for more than 15,000 homes.
