Description

A gunman livestreamed on social media the murders of 49 people and wounding of more than 40 Muslim worshippers in New Zealand Friday. Reuters reports Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern condemned the murders in two Christchurch mosques as terrorism. The gunman broadcast footage of the attack on one mosque in the city of Christchurch on Facebook. He also published a “manifesto” in which he denounced immigrants, calling them “invaders”. The video footage showed the gunman driving to one mosque, entering it and shooting randomly at men, women, and children there.
