Violence Flares In France As Yellow Vest Protests Enter Fourth Month

According to a report by Reuters, on Friday, rioters set fire to a bank and ransacked stores on Paris' renowned shopping street in a new flare-up of violence as France's yellow vest protests against President Emmanuel Macron and his pro-business reforms entered its fourth month. Police reportedly fired tear gas and water cannons as the protests became violent against following weeks of relative calm during marches. Reuters reports that amid the chaos, two news-stands on the Champs Elysees caught fire and bonfires were burned in the streets.
