Emergency services work after a Russian jet conducting a test flight crashed into a two-storey house in the city of Irkutsk in southern Siberia, days after a military jet crashed into a block of flats in the Russian town of Yeysk. IMAGES
Ruptly was given exclusive access to a revolutionary model of a twin-fuselage aircraft filmed in action for the very first time during a show-test in a wind tunnel at the Central Aero-Hydrodynamic Institute in Moscow. The aircraft is being designed for use by the Russian military and EMERCOM, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, especially for cases when they need to deliver both personnel and vehicles in one flight. The aircraft will fly like a regular plane and can land on most airfields, so no special skills are required from the pilots. In fact, It could be even more stable during landing and take-off than single fuselage planes. The project was developed in part to increase accessibility to remote Russian regions by reducing financial and technical demands.
Images show Russian law enforcement blocking access to a road leading to the site of a plane crash which is thought to have killed Yevgeny Prigozhin, head of the Russian mercenary group Wagner.
