Tokyo Court Rejects Appeal, Approves 10-Day Detention For Ghosn

Description

According to a report by Reuters, on Friday, a Tokyo court approved a request by prosecutors to detain Carlos Ghosn for 10 days for further questioning, rejecting an appeal by the ousted Nissan boss' lawyer to release him as he fights against charges of financial misconduct. The Tokyo District Court reportedly said that it had approved a request by prosecutors to hold Ghosn until April 14. Reuters reports that the ruling was widely expected after Ghosn was arrested for the fourth time at his Tokyo apartment on Thursday.
