Japan Honors 'One Piece' Creator With New Statues

Comicbook.com reports the 'One Piece' anime is about to start the Wano arc... ...and the franchise will be bringing its heroes to the real world with giant statues. The official One Piece Twitter confirmed Straw Hat statues will be placed around Japan over the next year. The statues are reportedly being built in honor of the series’ creator Eiichiro Oda, who donated a lot of money for recovery efforts from the Kumamoto earthquake. There is no specific date yet on when the statues will debut.
