Trump Fed Nominee Stephen Moore Made Misogynistic Comments Online

Description

Stephen Moore, President Donald Trump's nominee to the Federal Reserve Board, has made his career in conservative politics by advocating for cuts to taxes. According to Deadspin, Trump wants to appoint Moore because Moore is a vocal supporter of the president. Moore once told an audience at a Young America’s Foundation event that Trump “looks like a football player, in incredible, great shape.” CNN recently found Moore’s blogs from the National Review’s website in the early 2000s and found posts from him arguing “that women should be banned from refereeing, announcing or beer vending at men’s college basketball games, [and] asking if there was any area in life ‘where men can take vacation from women.’” He also complained about women’s college basketball games being aired on ESPN in 2002.
