The BMW stand at the IAA Cars 2019 international motor show in Frankfurt am Main focuses on the theme of future driving pleasure. Alongside the latest new additions across a broad range of segments revealed by BMW as part of its ongoing product offensive, the premium carmaker is also exhibiting fascinating vehicle studies and trailblazing technologies expected to have a major impact on individual mobility in tomorrow’s world. The new products on show at the IAA Cars 2019 reflect both the rich variety of the company’s model portfolio and its capacity for innovation in the future-focused fields identified as part of the NUMBER ONE > NEXT strategy and known by the acronym D+ACES (Design, Automated driving, Connectivity, Electrification and Services). The brand’s multifaceted presentation programme includes the world premieres of the BMW Concept 4 and BMW i Hydrogen NEXT, the latest new models for the luxury and high-performance segments, additions to the BMW X family, newcomers in the premium compact and premium midsize segments, and alluring special editions from BMW i. Plus, the BMW Vision M NEXT study car makes its show debut, offering visitors another glimpse of driving pleasure in the years ahead.
Audi is starting the Auto Shanghai 2019 motor show with two world premieres and a whole series of national innovations. The brand is presenting the visionary Audi AI:ME concept car in the southern Chinese metropolis. In addition, two electric models will make their series debut in Shanghai: the Audi e-tron and the Q2 L e-tron, which was designed especially for China and is built in the Foshan plant. The compact SUV, which will be delivered to the first customers in the summer of 2019, is even experiencing its world premiere in Shanghai.
BMW M GmbH expanded its high-performance model line-up to include models in the mid-size Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) and Sports Activity Coupe (SAC) segments for the first time. The BMW X3 M and BMW X4 M set the benchmark for dynamic excellence, agility and precision in their respective classes.Also new is the launch alongside the BMW X3 M and BMW X4 M of their Competition siblings. The BMW X3 M Competition and BMW X4 M Competition will capture customers' imagination with their extra power and exclusive appointments.The addition to the BMW M GmbH line-up of its first high-performance models in the mid-size Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) and Sports Activity Coupe (SAC) segments also heralds the arrival of a newly developed sixcylinder in-line engine in two variants. The engine stands out with its familiar M high-revving character, the latest M TwinPower Turbo technology update, plus track-tested cooling and oil supply systems. It develops 353 kW/480 hp in the BMW X3 M and BMW X4 M, and an even mightier 375 kW/510 hp in the BMW X3 M Competition and BMW X4 M Competition.The standout performance characteristics of the 3.0-litre units are encapsulated by the linear power development that is such an M speciality, plus a hunger for revs quelled only by the engine's limiter. And all to the tune of an arresting soundtrack. Like the maximum output figure, peak torque of 600 Nm (442 lb-ft) also represents a new high point for a six-cylinder in-line petrol engine from BMW. The ongoing development of M TwinPower Turbo technology, coupled with the inclusion of two gasoline particulate filters and four catalytic converters, also ensures the high-performance engines can claim remarkable efficiency and exceptionally low emissions.

At Auto Shanghai 2019, BMW Brilliance Automotive will introduce the new edition of the BMW X1 xDrive25Le. Developed exclusively for the Chinese automotive market with extended wheelbase and plug-in drive, the new X1 25Le now has an electrically powered range of up to 110 kilometers. Its combined fuel consumption has also been improved – 72 percent lower than before. The new BMW X1 xDrive25Le is produced at BMW Brilliance Automotive’s Tiexi plant in Shenyang, China.
