Oil Prices Spike By 2 Percent

According to Markets Insider, oil prices hit a six month high after the Trump administration announced plans to revise sanctions against Iran. On April 22nd, the price of crude oil jumped over 2-percent. The international benchmark, Brent crude, added 2.5-percent rising to $73.77 a barrel, while the US benchmark, West Texas Intermediate crude, gained 2.1-percent rising to $65.39 a barrel. Crude oil prices began to increase after the White House indicated their revised sanctions intend to bring Iran's oil exports to zero.
