At Auto Shanghai 2023, the largest automotive tradeshow in China, Audi will be appearing at a joint booth together with its local partners First Automotive Works (FAW) and SAIC Motor. There, in line with the brand's commitment to sustainability and local market trends, visitors will be greeted by a selection of exclusively all-electric Audi vehicles. The F1 show with Audi launch livery as well as the Audi A6 e-torn Avant concept and the Audi urbansphere concept - all displayed publicly in China for the first time - are further highlights. Thus, the brand’s exhibits at the motor show stand for Audi’s China approach: It is characterized by products and services developed ‘in China for China’ as well as a holistic ecosystem.
Audi brought two world debuts and an array of show firsts to Frankfurt in September 2019. The brand with the four rings used the International Motor Show (IAA) to showcase a stunning collection of new products, both in the e-mobility area and from its range of conventionally powered models. The Press Conference on September 10 featured the unveiling of the Audi AI:TRAIL concept car, the vision of a future electrically powered off-roader. Another model making its first appearance was the new Audi RS 7 Sportback, with which Audi Sport GmbH is expanding its portfolio of high-performance automobiles. In the shape of the e-tron FE06, Audi’s Formula E racing car could be admired for the first time in its new technical configuration and with its new design.
At Auto Shanghai 2019, Audi is introducing a visionary mobility concept for the megacities of the future: The showcar, known as the Audi AI:ME, offers compact dimensions, a spacious, futuristic interior, and the ability to drive autonomously at level 4. This allows the occupants to do what they like with their time on board. The Audi AI:ME offers a broad range of high-tech features for communication, entertainment, or simply relaxation.The body line of the Audi AI:ME demonstrates how emotion and spatial economy can form a perfect synthesis in an electrically driven compact car. There is a reason that the name AI:ME emphasizes the relation to the Audi AIcon, the study of automated long-distance operation introduced in 2017. The affinity of the body line and the concept of these two cars will become evident in Shanghai, as the AIcon will flank the world premiere on the stage of the Audi booth at Auto Shanghai 2019.
Audi is starting the Auto Shanghai 2019 motor show with two world premieres and a whole series of national innovations. The brand is presenting the visionary Audi AI:ME concept car in the southern Chinese metropolis. In addition, two electric models will make their series debut in Shanghai: the Audi e-tron and the Q2 L e-tron, which was designed especially for China and is built in the Foshan plant. The compact SUV, which will be delivered to the first customers in the summer of 2019, is even experiencing its world premiere in Shanghai.
BMW takes to the stage at Auto Shanghai 2019 with the spotlight on two model premieres in particular. The new BMW 3 Series Sedan is making its Chinese debut at the international motor show, and the latest generation of the globally popular sports sedan will be built for the Chinese market by BMW Brilliance Automotive in Shenyang.
